Autarchy did a great job in getting my visa application prepared and approved. Their instructions to me were clear and complete, and got the job done. They are easy to communicate with, in either language. Instead of sending an email to a portal, you have a primary contact who's working on your case. You can send texts and attachments on WhatsApp, and they answer, very quickly.

Roger and his team were fantastic! I spoke to countless Colombian tax preparers, and none of them seemed to understand what I was looking for. Roger and his team immediately understood and were able to provide me with fast and accurate tax prep service. He was also super helpful when I was trying to decide what visa to apply for. Highly recommend!!

I started my Visa process while in Colombia but had to leave due to work. However, I felt at ease leaving Colombia while my Visa had to be resubmitted. Throughout the entire process Yolenis was extremely professional and very thorough with all of my questions. My anxiety was put at ease with all of the informative responses I was provided. My Visa was approved within 8 days after resubmitting from Stateside. Do yourself a favor and hire these professionals to ensure your Visa will be processed with thoroughness and efficiency. The process is stressful enough so please save yourself from any unnecessary delays.

Good for extending a tourist visa, not recommended for more advanced work. Unfortunately, this office was overwhelmed with my task. The structure proposed by the owner, Roger, was partly based on deception (fake fictitious bookings with other clients of Roger, a fake website for my company) and was described by a local law firm as highly dubious, with the corresponding potential consequences for me. As I later discovered, Roger's advice was patchy and contradictory from the very beginning, and in several cases even incorrect. His knowledge of the legal situation in Colombia is elementary, his social network weak, and his comprehension sometimes questionable. After some time, the advice was limited in one case to watching YouTube videos, or in another case stopped altogether, leaving me to fend for myself. This then led to the decision to terminate the business relationship. The bureaucracy in Colombia is very complex. In my experience, it is advisable to engage a very well-connected and competent local consultant who sees you as a valuable customer, rather than a foreigner who sees this activity only as his personal pastime.

Once we committed, everything was handed over to his wife, the actual lawyer, whose work was chaotic and unreliable. Communication was poor, scheduled calls didn’t happen, and we were often blamed instead of receiving solutions. There were no written records or documents provided, making it impossible to track progress. Other professionals involved in the process, like the real estate agent and seller, also noted her lack of professionalism. The contract she drafted was full of errors and incomplete. We are relieved to have switched to a truly professional legal team and cannot recommend this company at all. In more detail: Unfortunately, we have to share our negative experience with Autarchy lawyer firm. As mentioned in other reviews, the first conversation is with Roger, who initially seems knowledgeable, but in the end, it feels more like a sales pitch. Once you decide to work with the firm, the matters are handed over to his wife (who is the actual lawyer, while Roger is not), and that's when professionalism quickly declines. It feels more like a "learning by doing" approach, which can be very risky with such important matters. They don’t seem to realize that they are dealing with people’s futures, and their lack of knowledge in some areas is alarming. There were multiple critical situations that caused us a lot of headaches, and communication was always difficult. Scheduled phone calls didn’t take place, and we were made to feel like difficult clients. When they didn’t know something, they simply told us to figure it out ourselves—which begs the question, why hire a lawyer in the first place? I also want to add that my complaints were completely ignored. There was never an apology—only immediate blame, suggesting that we hadn’t listened carefully enough. However, there was never any written communication to refer back to, even if we wanted to clarify things. No documents were provided, making it incredibly difficult to keep things organized. Even the other people involved in the process with my lawyer, such as the real estate agent and the seller of the property, mentioned that they had never encountered such an unprofessional lawyer before. The contract she drafted, for example, was flawed and lacked important details in many areas. The past week has been incredibly stressful, but we are relieved to have switched to a professional legal team now. I raised my concerns multiple times, but they were always dismissed with comments like, "That’s just how things are in Colombia; it’s different from back home." But that is simply not true. It is absolutely possible to work professionally here, as we now see. I cannot recommend this law firm in any way.
