My wife, who is fluent is Spanish, tried for several months to make an appointment with any Mexican Consulate in the southern US for us to obtain an appointment for Mexican Residency. She ran into roadblock after roadblock with unreturned phone calls, voice mails, emails, WhatsApp, etc. I had previously read about attorney Ian Clement’s services on the SMA CivilList and out of desperation, wrote to him. He replied promptly and indicated that he could help us secure an appointment. Within a week, one of his staff members (Marco) contacted us via email with an appointment. We could hardly believe it! Our appointment was a few weeks away, in a different city, but we had planned on that. Ian has the immigration system down pat and knew exactly what documents we needed to present, in what order, format, down to highlighting specific items! Our US appointment was laborious in that we had to return late in the afternoon to get our paperwork, but it was completed! When we were ready to return to SMA we notified Marco, who guided us through the airport process, requested immediate copies of our Canje stamp in our passports and then promptly obtained an appointment for us at the local immigration office. I will spare you the details of the local immigration problems, over which Sr. Clement’s office has no control, but I will say they had a handler on site to guide us through that morass. Four appointments later, each arranged in conjunction with Sr. Clement’s office, we are now Permanente! Kudo’s to Ian and his team for guiding us through this process in a thoroughly professional and kind manner. We would highly recommend Ian, Marco and their entire team for any immigration help you might need.
