Spencer provided much needed guidance and assistance to me in overcoming the obstacles of establishing permanent housing when I first moved to the Guadalajara area. He and his team have completed immigration documents for me which saved me countless hours at INM and avoided all the frustration. As an authorized translator, Spencer has also translated official documents on my my behalf. I have found Spencer to be very knowledgeable, highly competent and, most importantly, trustworthy. He responds to messages and questions in a timely manner and communicates to me thoroughly what is involved in each process. I am truly sorry to see that anyone has not had a satisfactory experience with Spencer McMullen Law Firm. I can only speak of my own experiences being MORE than satisfactory. Spencer, and his staff, have assisted me for four years now. And I have only lived here for 26 months. He graciously assisted me on multiple occasions, before my moving here, via the phone. He never asked for a dime, or a peso. Since I have been here, his office never asked for anything until the work was done. Today I did a cold call (very impolite of me) and Denise read my illegible paperwork, for free, and looked everything up to tell me what to do, and where to go to make it right. I can say, with all honesty, that I wouldn't dream of going elsewhere.

He helped my family with translation of US Birth Certificates, friendly and professional. We will going to him moving forward. Trustworthy.

If you are a Canadian or living out of Mexico do NOT go to Spencer. And even if you are in Mexico, he will just take your MONEY, promise to get it done and do nothing for you. Had a house to be SOLD after 3 1/2 years and calling me RUDE after 4-5 emails (on several occasions) of him NOT RESPONDING I would get frustrated and use CAPS... I finally got a GREAT lawyer firm from Guadalajara I was treated with respect and they had my interests at heart and in 6 months everything was complete AND done. AND at a RESONABLE cost, less then a 1/4 of Spencer... So BEWARE Shame on you Spencer... You never answer any of the nice reviews BUT I bet you answer this in your defense

Spencer McMullen of Chapala Law has been my attorney for over 10 years. His staff is very competent. They have assisted me with immigration matters, checking car paperwork and steering me clear of cars with BAD paperwork I might have bought, registering out of state cars, returno seguros for all the US cars I purchased in Mexico or drove out of Mexico, trademark a logo and business, drivers licenses, my last will and testament and much more. Spencer answered the phone at 2am when the cops showed up at my door and kept me from spending the rest of the night in jail (long story). Spencer and his staff have kept me legal. I plan to keep the relationship for another 10 years.

Spencer expeditiously assisted me with obtaining my dual citizenship when I hit a few obstacles trying to do it on my own at the consulate in Los Angeles. He responded to my many questions, and delivered my completed documents even earlier than expected!
