Notaria 4

I am marrying a Mexican national and have a pre-nuptial agreement that was prepared in the US, which I wanted to figure out how to validate in Mexico. I wasn't sure how it worked here, so I spoke with Attorney Angel Saad Said about it on recommendation from a friend. He was a true gentleman - sincere and experienced. I appreciate that he spoke English so I didn't have to struggle in Spanish. But he told me that I didn't need a prenup in Mexico. That community vs. private property is decided at the time of marriage. So even though he could have probably charged me thousands to re-do my American prenup under Mexican law, he was instead honest, made no money off of me, but instead earned a raging fan. I look forward to working with him on estate planning for Mexican assets.
