I’d like to begin my review and recommendation of the excellent work of Lic. I am an American by birth, but was married to a Mexican (at least in the eyes of our families and god, if not quite formally) for seven years before cancer left me widowed in ‘22 — before I even knew what had hit me, let alone before I had given any thought to my legal status, property rights, etc. We were young and more or less struggling financially, and just assuming we had our whole lives ahead of us. We were in the early stages of buying a plot of land on which to build our future home. As fortunate as I have been to have the love, support, and encouragement of my extended family, it is really the truly exceptional expertise, and understanding of how to navigate legal issues that Carlos has brought and is bringing to the table that has enabled me to achieve a just and happy result to my situation, from a legal standpoint.
