As a German, I know how to spell bureaucracy. And Chilean bureaucracy is every bit as tough as its German counterpart. Sometimes its nit-picking feels reminiscent of the GDR, and sometimes it shows a refreshingly friendly, flexible and Latin American face. So you never really know where you stand. The fact that the process of granting residence permits, which is currently groaning under the strain, is very lengthy, purely online and without a human face, does not make life any easier for a would-be resident. It's a good thing that in my case, Ms Broecking and Ms Woll from Immigration Chile were there to help. It's just easier to sleep when professionals can confirm that you've done everything right and that the process ‘only’ takes forever (in my case, it was 14 months). The money was well spent for my peace of mind.

Without Dr. Broeckings professional team and the kind assistance of Dr. Diedlinde Woll we would never have gotten the visa of my mother in law. They even managed to set a precedent case because of her health situation and did not hesitate to go above and beyond what you would expect from an immigration lawyer. When I had a visa application rejected I was given 30 days to leave the country and just 3 days to appeal. Panic!! Immigration Chile was recommended to me and they set up a video call within hours, calmed me down, guided me through the appeal process and wrote a legal letter challenging the decision. They also advised me to apply for residency, and guided me in that. They've been on hand for any queries or doubts for the last 2 years - yep, things take time - and I got my visa this week! Had a horrible experience with them. I’m sure they don’t represent all Chilean‘s. Don’t pay a dime to them for sure. Sure details are important. I’ll make it brief however. I did respond to an email you sent me. I paid for a service and then initially did get some help however there seem to be a problem with follow up when I sent some emails, addressing this concern, I seemed to be treated with a silent contempt by simply not answering or responding to my emails. I paid the service $200 only to get this treatment when I needed some follow up help not sure why I was treated with contempt because I am generally a very decent kind person. Thank you for responding and now you have your answer
